
Belgrade will stage Serbia's first ATP World Tour event this week at the SRPC Milan Gale Muskatirovic. The Serbia Open 2009, an ATP World Tour 250 event, will be played on outdoor clay.
World No. 3 Novak Djokovic headlines the inaugural main draw as the top seed in his hometown. The 21 year old could play compatriot Janko Tipsarevic in the second round, should Tipsarevic defeat Argentine Sergio Roitman. Fifth seed Viktor Troicki, also a Belgrade native, could be Djokovic’s challenger in the quarter-finals.
